Raymond J. Harner

Raymond Harner has guided Harner Plumbing & Fire Protection as President for 44 years. His commercial plumbing, fire protection work, as well as residential/commercial rentals, have given him experience working with industries of all kinds, large and small. He understands the needs of the businessperson as well as of those of the employee. A life-long resident of Streetsboro and a graduate of Streetsboro High School, he has a keen interest in the growth and development of Portage County.

After service in the Army in 1971, he raised his daughter, Jennifer, and son, Jeffrey (who are also life-long residents of Portage County). Ray and his wife, Ann, share the privilege of grandparenting to Addison (14), Molly (10), Braxton (7), Collin (5), Elise (4), and Parker (3). Ray’s personal interests include water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, and traveling the world.

Ray’s favorite personal quote is “God is First, Family is Second, Job is Third”.
