Fan Moisture Guard

Wednesday, June 29th, 2022 by Evan Schmitt

Who wants something installed in their house that could fail in a couple years? Probably no one. Which is one of the reasons we use Festa fans and our moisture guard. In this article we’re going to focus on the moisture guard and how it works.

The moisture guard is essentially a condensate bypass. It is a coupling with a trench in it that goes above the fan. The coupling gathers all of the water and condensation that runs down the inside of the pipe and routes it around the fan through a piece of tubing. This increases our system warranty from 5 to 10 years. The reason we increase the warranty is because when all of that moisture runs through the fan, it can start to degrade the inside components. Mainly the bearings: over time they corrode and start to make a high pitched grinding sound (which homeowners are not a fan of).

So not only does this option add lifetime to the system but it also helps the fan to run quieter for longer. Overall improving the experience that the homeowner has with their system. Almost all of our customers choose to add this and the value it brings well exceeds the price!
