The radon fans we use are manufactured by “Festa Radon Technologies” in Pittsburgh, PA. They have been in the radon business for 20 years and are the fastest growing fan manufacturer. They use compression molding rather than injection molding like other manufacturers. This makes the fan thicker, giving the fan more durability and better sound suppression. Also unlike other fans that yellow quickly after being exposed to the sun’s UV rays, Festa fans are UV resistant, keeping their original color throughout the lifetime of the system. The last advantage we’ll cover is that the fan motors are manufactured in Germany with higher quality bearings and parts, compared to the cheaper Chinese motors.

Festa also has a variety of fans for different applications, for example a large house with gravel subsoil would require a fan that uses more airflow, to pull from every part of the slab. Where a smaller house with tight clay subsoil would require a fan with more suction to have the power to pull all throughout the slab. This allows us to make our systems extremely efficient and customized for every home, rather than a cookie cutter one size fits all.
